Back in 1991, Michael took a profound leap of faith as he left the construction industry, and announced to friends and family that he was going to be a professional hair stylist. After several successful years building his clientele, Michael took yet another leap of faith, in 2000, when he decided it was time to venture into the world of becoming a salon and spa owner. Owning and managing is truly a joy for Michael, and he says without hesitation, that the relationships he has built with his team and his clients has allowed him to get to know some of his favorite people in the world. As a seasoned stylist, Michael has received advanced training in most all areas of hair styling, as well as business and leadership training. Michael authentically enjoys the loyal clients who have come to the salon for years, as well as the new ones he meets each and every day. Most of all, he is both appreciative and grateful that those clients have chosen Michael Brandon Salon and Spa for their beauty needs.

Tish Baxter-Cortes

Tish’s positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm has helped to make her years at Michael Brandon salon a total success story. With a sincere love for doing hair, Tish greets each client warmly, listens to their wishes, and then performs her magic. She has advanced training in both cuts and color, and is certified for Brazilian Keratin treatments, as well as hair extensions. Once you meet her, you will see that Tish is not only a great communicator, but also a true hair technician.

Kristi Smith-Gilmore

Kristi graduated from Dublin Beauty College in 2004 and immediately began to continue her education in coloring and haircutting techniques. She worked behind the chair for a year before joining the Michael Brandon team in 2006. Kristi is very passionate about the industry and is determined to stay focused to grow as a great stylist and colorist.

One of the things Mary most enjoys about her job is helping her clients to find a look that works well with their lifestyle. She is always interested in keeping up with the latest hair trends, while being sensitive to exactly what cut and color will work for that particular client. She enjoys the creativity of being a stylist, and she specializes in curly hair, the Brazilian Keratin treatment, hair extensions and color. Mary truly loves what she does.

Ericka is an experienced stylist who started in the industry in 1996. With an extensive education, that includes Goldwell Color, Color-Corrective and Cutting, she is highly motivated and takes great pride in her work. Along with her busy career, Ericka is married and a proud mother of two children. With her amazing talent, and ability to know exactly what her clients are looking for, Ericka has developed a highly satisfied base of clients.

Danielle has been part of the Michael Brandon team since 2002. Her positive attitude, and ability to make her clients feel completely comfortable, are just a few of the reason’s Danielle’s clients keep coming back. She has received advanced cutting and styling classes from Nicolas and Goldwell, and truly enjoys seeing the positive changes she can make in her clients lives. During her free time, Danielle loves to spend time with her family and friends.

Kelly Carrigan-Moyles

Kelly has always enjoyed using her creativity to completely change a person’s look and make them feel substantially better. Kelly has extensive training in color and cutting from the Toni and Guy Academy and has advanced training with L’Oreal, Goldwell, Bumble and Bumble and Graham Webb. Kelly is also certified in the Brazilian Keratin Treatment, thermal straightening and hair extensions. Specializing in color and color corrections, Kelly recently became a certified L’Oreal INOA Colorist and has launched the new color line to our salon.

Ashley Watkins-Freeman

Ashley has always had a passion for hair, and she takes pride in going that extra mile to make people look and feel better. As a color specialist, Ashley has also been certified in the Brazilian Keratin treatment, hair extensions, and has advanced training with Goldwell, Kevin Murphy, Bumble and Bumble and Nicolas. Ashley knows that really listening to her clients desires keeps them happy and coming back. She is knowledgeable and up to date with all of the latest hair trends.

Jacci Trevisano

Jacci has been a licensed massage therapist since 1998, and became part of the team at Michael Brandon Salon and Spa in 2011.  Though her service list offers many forms of massage, Jacci feels her specialty is therapeutic massage.  She is a compassionate, people person, who listens carefully to her clients concerns and goals before setting up a treatment plan.  Outside of work, Jacci enjoys quality time with her family and friends.

Charm Valenzuela

A team member since 2003, Charm has received advanced training in color, cutting, and barber cuts. She specializes in long hair, curly hair, barber cuts and color placement. At the early age of 2, Charm knew that she loved to do hair, and has brought that enthusiasm to her day to day work. She carefully explains her style plans to her clients, making them feel connected and confident they will be receiving the cut and color that’s just right for them.

Throughout her 14 years as a stylist, Shannon has always kept one thing at the forefront of her mind. She always listens carefully to her clients desires. After receiving a haircut from a stylist who did not listen to what she was looking for, Shannon became determined not to ever let that happen with her clientele. Shannon is a graduate of San Jose Community College, has had cutting training with Yosh, Nicolas and Gery Gerard, as well as advanced color classes and training in the Brazilian Keratin treatment.

One of the things Nadine most enjoys about her job is making people feel special. She loves working with her existing clients and meeting new ones. Nadine uses her creativity to ensure that each person has a great experience when they come in for their appointment. She specializes in color, precision haircutting, Brazilian Keratin treatments, and permanent waves. Nadine enjoys the outdoors, and in her time off, goes to the beach, concerts and on sailing trips.

A licensed esthetician since 2004, Valery has received advanced training in resurfacing treatments, microdermabrasion, ultrasound facials, lymphatic drainage massage, and brazilian bikini waxing. Valery knows that a successful esthetician must be knowledgeable about the most recent advances in the skin care industry, as well as being completely familiar with the products available on the market. Valery’s positive attitude and interest in keeping the skin healthy, young and vibrant, makes her a skin care professional. Valery loves the gratification that comes from a truly happy client.

Since joining us in 2007, Jessie has quickly established herself as a concrete addition to the team. Her enthusiasm for styling hair is only matched by her natural talent with color and cuts. Jessie has rounded her skill set by attending several classes, including: Elevate, Kevin Murphy, Pureology, and Goldwell. With a positive attitude and a desire to excel, she has become an indisputable asset.

Kristine has been a part of the Michael Brandon team since 2000. As a massage therapist, she enjoys connecting with all of her clients and listens carefully to their areas of concern or need. Kristine ensures that each massage is specifically tailored to that client. She specializes in all massage modalities, and has advanced spa training in body wraps and scrubs, hot stone massage and galvanic treatments. Outside of work, Kristine loves to spend time with family and friends, particularly if it’s in Cabo!

Throughout her life, Monica has always been fascinated with the beauty industry and helping people radiate with self-confidence. A licensed esthetician, Monica joined the team in 2001. She loves working with her clients and making sure that when their service is over, they leave with a big smile. She specializes in all facial treatments, as well as corrective peels, microdermabrasion and brow design.

Teri Tomasini

As an integral part of the Michael Brandon team, Teri is the office administrator and bookkeeper. A whiz with numbers, Teri is also in charge of inventory control, product ordering, and assisting with promotions and advertising. She enjoys helping to make the business run smoothly and efficiently, and is always looking for growth opportunities. One of the things Teri most enjoys about her job is the people she works with. She says with total confidence, “we have the best staff around.”

As a stylist, Heather knows how important it is to take the time to listen carefully to each client’s needs, and to ensure that client is getting exactly what he or she wants. Heather loves to cut and color, and to perform the Brazilian Keratin Treatments. She carefully assesses what would be best for her clients so they leave feeling even better about themselves, and their look. What she enjoys most about her job is making people happy.

Throughout her life, Stacey has always been creative and sees being a hair stylist as both her dream and her calling. She truly cares about each and every client that sits in her chair, and enjoys solving their hair challenges. Stacey specializes in long layered cuts and modern color. She has advanced training from Goldwell and Bumble and Bumble, and did her cutting training at Vidal Sassoon.

Shawna knows that the way to make a client truly happy with their hair is to listen to what they are asking for. She’s always enjoyed doing hair, and post college, decided to pursue her dream of becoming a licensed cosmetologist. Her friendliness and ability to easily interact with people, make her clients feel well taken care of. Shawna loves to do color and has had advanced training with Bumble and Bumble, Nicolas, Pureology, Kevin Murphy, the Brazilian Keratin Treatment and hair extensions.

Miriam’s positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and communication skills makes her a stylist that clients love to see. She enjoys making people feel better about themselves and receives great satisfaction when she sees the positive reactions people have at the end of their appointments. Miriam loves to style hair and has done extra training in styling, coloring, cutting and the Brazilian Keratin Treatment. One of the best things about her job is the amazing team she works with at Michael Brandon Salon and Spa.

A licensed esthetician, Renee is an enthusiastic professional who most enjoys taking care of her clients skin care needs, and helping to relieve their stress. She is a kind, compassionate, listener who assesses each person’s situation before deciding on a treatment plan. Renee specializes in all types of facial treatments, and has advanced training in chemical peels, and makeup including the Krylon Temptu Air Brush. Renee always gives each client her absolute best.

One of the things Shannon enjoys most about being a licensed esthetician is making people feel relaxed, confident, and pleased with their treatment. Shannon loves to help others with their skin care challenges, and has brought her enthusiasm for education and knowledge to her work. A dedicated professional, Shannon has received advanced certification in microdermabrasion, advanced chemical peels, hot stone facials, ultrasound and LED therapy, the Rain Drop technique, and the Brazilian bikini wax.

Tamra’s friendliness, positive attitude and knowledge, make her a favorite with her clients and coworkers. As a registered nurse, Tamra helps her patients achieve their goals esthetically, and enjoys the strong rapor and friendships that develop with them. Tamra specializes in injectables (Botox and wrinkle fillers), is a laser specialist, and performs medical strength chemical peels. What she enjoys most about her job is seeing great results for her clients that leave them looking natural, and refreshed.

Juris Bunkis, M.D. is an innovative plastic surgeon who specializes in aesthetic surgery. Dr. Bunkis is a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, and has operated, lectured and presented scientific papers throughout North America and Europe. Dr. Bunkis has published a wide range of scientific articles and has also contributed chapters to various medical textbooks on the subject of plastic surgery.

As a client coordinator, Ashley ensures that each client receives the professional treatment and special care that they deserve each time they walk through the door. Ashley has been part of the Michael Brandon team since 2006, and is truly a genuine asset to the salon and to the front desk team. To further enhance her skills, Ashley attended a front desk seminar given by Bumble and Bumble in New York City. One of the things she enjoys most about her job is that the team here is truly “like a family”.

There’s nothing Kelly Ann enjoys more than helping her clients feel better and look gorgeous. Her upbeat demeanor, engaging smile, and friendly spirit, make her a favorite for both hair and makeup clients. Kelly specializes in color and long hair and has recieved training in Goldwell color, the Brazilian Keratin treatment, Hot Heads extensions, Awapuhi treatments, and advanced makeup techniques. In her spare time, Kelly loves hanging out with family and friends and having fun in Las Vegas.

Throughout her life, Kaite was always the friend who did everyone else’s hair for special occasions, or just for fun. These days, she’s using her special talent to make people feel beautiful every day. Kaite is friendly, and engaging with clients throughout the salon. She particularly enjoys doing color, up-do’s, and the Brazilian Keratin Treatment. Family time is most important to Kaite, and she cherishes her time with them.

If you ask Brianna what she enjoys most about her job, she’ll tell you that she loves doing hair and making people feel happy. She is a friendly, positive spirit who has a special knack for making everyone around her feel totally comfortable. Brianna likes both cutting and coloring, and has experience with both the Brazilian Keratin Treatment and hair extensions. A great day off for Brianna is spending it with her family and friends.

JanetCorona

An experienced stylist, Janet joined the team in 2011, and says that one of the things she likes to do is treat her clients as honored guests.  She enjoys using her creativity to find the perfect cut and color to make both her male and female clients look their best.  Janet has always had a passion for beauty and started working on hair and makeup at a young age.  On her days off, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, and exploring new places.

Rachel Fenske-Hernandez

With her bright smile and warm nature, Rachel was a welcome addition to the Michael Brandon team in the year 2011. She has enjoyed styling hair since her teenage years, and especially enjoys doing short haircuts. Rachel wants her clients to feel at ease, and knows that success comes through building lasting relationships. Her free time is spent with her husband and daughter, dancing, camping and practicing the mixed martial arts.

Zoey Brandon

Zoey is an energetic, fun-loving, nap-happy, smile bringer. She is an exotic breed of Chihuahua and Gremlin (Michael is her adoptive father, we believe Gizmo could be the biological father). She specializes in keep away, tug-of-war, and generally charming everyone who meets her. She’s constantly learning new ways to play, finding new toys, discovering new friends, and bouncing around like a rabbit. She’s currently striving to achieve incredible new personal heights (quadruple backflips.) Zoey has been a part of the Michael Brandon team since July ’06!
